Movie fans would love the new line-up of Pioneer Blu-ray players – BDP-140, BDP-440 and BDP-LX55 – which claim to support additional popular video and music playback formats, optimized HDMI connectivity and advanced networking features. On top of that, all three models are capable of 3D playback and boast cinema-quality experience.

Pioneer has unveiled three new Blu-ray disc players in Singapore – the BDP-140, BDP-440 and BDP-LX55 – that claim to deliver exceptional visual and audio cinematic performance in the comfort of your home. The players support a wide range of video and music playback formats including FLAC (BDP-LX55 only), MKV, DivX, PlusHD, WMV, WMA and MP3 playback as well as photo slideshows with its JPEG viewer; HDMI output to displays in high definition; and these new models are capable of full 3D movie playback with remarkably clear, crisp images and superior sound.

Enabled with connectivity to local networks and the Internet, the Pioneer players can connect to a wireless home network via an optional wireless network adapter AS-WL200. On top of that, these players are equipped with Picasa Viewing capabilities so that you can enjoy your favorite photo albums besides watching YouTube videos. The new players are also DLNA certified, which allows you to playback audio, video and photo content stored on a compatible network PC or media server.

The Pioneer BDP-140 is now available at authorized Pioneer retail outlets at a suggested retail price of S$299 while the BDP-LX55 and BDP-440 will be available from end October onwards. Pricing details not released at press time.
