Sony today has expanded its lineup for memory card to include the newer and faster XQD M Series memory card, and the SF-M Series SD card; as well as the world’s first XQD/SD card reader, MRW-E90.

Designed to dramatically reduce ingest time, even for the large quantities of RAW images or 4K video files, the XQD M memory card offers users an ultra-high data transfer speeds of up to 440MB/s (read) and 150MB/s (write). It is also capable of backing up 64GD of data in just 3 minutes! The robust structure of the XQD with card thickness and pin protection further makes it highly durable and reliable for use.

In addition to the XQD, Sony is also releasing its newest SD cards, the SF-M series. Featuring high reading and writing speeds of up to 260MB/s and 100MB/s respectively, the SF-M series contributes to quick data transfer to and from a PC. Similar to the XQD, the SF-M series is superior in reliability and durability, even in intense use. It is X-ray proof, dust-proof, and magnet proof so that even your most sensitive photo and video content are well-protected. Even in rare cases when your files get damaged or lost, File Rescue is available as a powerful tool for recovering the lost data.

In conjunction with the new card options, Sony is also proud to introduce the world’s first XQD/SD card reader, MRW-E90. Compatible with all XQD series and UHS-II SD memory cards, the MRW-E90 is the perfect solution to quickly transfer large data from XQD and SD cards to the PC, eliminating the need for multiple adapters and readers.

The new XQD-M series and SF-M series will be available at all Sony Stores, Sony Centres and selected Sony authorised dealers from February 2016 and March 2016 respectively.
